Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and dependable Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, extensive experience in construction electrical work, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field. This position includes working on active construction sites as well as responding to residential and commercial service calls. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems; assembling and securing electrical components; and operating a wide range of power tools safely and effectively. The right candidate will uphold all safety standards, deliver high-quality workmanship, and communicate clearly with customers and team members. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial, residential, and service-call environments. Respond to electrical service calls, diagnose issues on-site, and provide timely, professional repairs. Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements for electrical systems. Install and troubleshoot panels, breakers, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, and electrical equipment for both construction projects and service repairs. Utilize power tools, testing meters, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively for a wide range of electrical tasks. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues, ensure proper function, and verify compliance with local electrical codes. Collaborate with other construction professionals and communicate clearly with customers during service visits to ensure efficient, high-quality work. Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and equipment movement as required during installations or repairs. Maintain a clean, organized work environment in both construction and service settings, ensuring professionalism and safety at all times. Requirements Proven experience in construction and service electrical work, with a solid understanding of electrical codes and regulations. Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively in both construction and service-call settings. Familiarity with conduit bending, wire pulling, panel installations, and proficient use of a wide range of power tools and testing equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and service documentation related to electrical installations and repairs. Experience working on active construction sites with a thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting, maneuver equipment, and work in various environments. Valid commercial driving license is required.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
