Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of automated systems. Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Perform renovations and new construction wiring installations while adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC). Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working with high voltage and low voltage systems. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings. Strong knowledge of NEC standards and regulations. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively. Experience with frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
