Electrical Maintenance Technician I - Entry Level Reports to:
Electrical Manager Shift:
4 day work week doing 10 hour shifts, either
Tuesday-Friday or Monday-Thursday Pay:

What you'll be contributing: Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines High and low voltage motor testing and troubleshooting. High voltage circuit breakers, tests and troubleshooting. High voltage circuits, testing and troubleshooting. Electric control troubleshooting. Piping and wiring. Basic pneumatic control. Basic hydraulic controls. Basic air conditioner repair and troubleshooting. Lights and receptacles troubleshooting. Participate in good housekeeping practices using 5S Housekeeping program. Follow all safety policies, procedures and practices. Assist with other departmental needs as required. Must be able to provide instruction, direction and support to outside contractors for special projects or plant outages. Operate mobile equipment. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor To succeed in this position, you will need: High school graduation or equivalent is required. Minimum 3 years of electrical maintenance experience Mechanical welding and machinist skills are preferred Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be provided. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities and must meet qualifications required for this position To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Able to communicate orally and in writing. Volunteers readily; undertakes self-development activities; seeks increased responsibilities; takes independent actions and calculated risks; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; asks for help when needed. Ability to work under pressure. Judgment to ensure safe operation of equipment and safe work practices. Follow all department timeline requirements. Contact Supervisor and/or Manager, as necessary To monitor and maintain all material flows to ensure the quality of the products within specifications. To serve as a role model in the area of leadership, teamwork, customer focus, safety and environmental stewardship, to ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Strong oral and written communication, and the ability to effectively communicate with others within the organization. Ability to work with basic applied mathematics Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form. Proficient on Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Power point. What to expect in a cement environment: Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure. While performing the duties of this position, the following physical activities include but are not limited to: Climbing, walking, standing, bending in the plant, frequently lift and/or move up to fifteen pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds.
