Sensors Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Controls Installer is responsible for assisting in the installation of conduit, wire, cable, equipment, and devices associated with energy management systems including electric/electronic controls, panels, sensors, and other BAS components. Controls Installers follow installation standards and project submittals to ensure a high-quality installation that supports long-term BAS functionality.
Experience/Job Skills:
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, electrical installation, or related field
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, conduit installation, and control wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with ability to follow technical instructions
  • Experience working in commercial mechanical or electrical environments is a plus
  • Basic familiarity with HVAC systems and building controls is desirable
  • Strong work ethic with willingness to learn advanced controls and automation systems Install conduit, wiring, cable, and control panels in accordance with project plans and job submittals Mount and terminate sensors, actuators, and devices used in building automation systems Perform cable pulling, labeling, and wire management to meet safety and quality standards Follow layout drawings and wiring diagrams to complete accurate installations Collaborate with BAS Technicians and Project Managers to execute projects on time Maintain proper documentation of daily work activity and inventory usage Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times Maintain a clean and organized job site Provide professional interaction with clients, contractors, and internal team members Troubleshooting wiring issues Assist with start-up, point to point checkout and commissioning
