Role Will Do:
The Lead Electrician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This position requires advanced knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and techniques, along with the ability to manage projects, delegate tasks, and guide a team of electricians. The Lead Electrician ensures that all work is performed efficiently, accurately, and safely, while maintaining a clean and organized job site. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety protocols are essential in this role. Oversee and participate in the installation of conduit, wiring, electrical panels, devices, fixtures, and related components on residential, commercial, and industrial projects Lead the routing, labeling, and pulling of electrical wiring through conduit, ceilings, floors, and underground systems Supervise and perform measuring, cutting, threading, and bending of conduit using hand and power tools in alignment with job specifications Direct the mounting and installation of electrical boxes, light fixtures, outlets, switches, and associated hardware Coordinate and assist with trenching, backfilling, and underground rough-in work as project scope requires Perform and supervise advanced electrical terminations, including panels, transformers, and junction boxes, ensuring accuracy and safety Read, interpret, and provide guidance on blueprints, electrical diagrams, and field sketches Maintain and enforce a clean, organized, and safe job site; ensure proper daily setup and teardown of tools and equipment by the crew Coordinate the loading, transport, and staging of materials and tools to meet project schedules and milestones Inspect tools and equipment regularly; ensure proper maintenance, safe operation, and report any issues or needs for repair Foster effective collaboration among team members, supervisors, foremen, and other trades on-site Lead by example in strictly adhering to OSHA and company safety standards; ensure crew compliance and address any safety concerns promptly Perform other duties as assigned You'll be great fit if: A High School Diploma is required; An associate degree in an applicable field is preferred. Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred. Appropriate credentials and certifications - Industrial Electrician Trade Certification. At least a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Journeyman Licensed is preferred, but not mandatory. Norlee Group, Inc., is an equal opportunity employer.
