Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret schematics and blueprints, and utilize a wide range of hand and power tools to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on construction sites and renovation projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and specialized power tools to complete tasks efficiently. Test electrical circuits with tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately. Follow all safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC regulations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project phase. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting. Knowledge of NEC standards governing high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and project demands. Ability to interpret schematics accurately and implement complex wiring configurations efficiently. Strong safety awareness with experience adhering to OSHA guidelines for construction sites.
