This role will perform hands-on trade work, ensure compliance with safety and building codes, and provide guidance to apprentices. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over a decade. Duties and responsibilities Perform skilled trade work in accordance with industry standards, codes, and company policies. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, to ensure proper operation. Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, fixtures or equipment relevant to the trade. Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices. Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA). Troubleshoot and repair control systems, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and installations. Follow all safety procedures, wear protective gear, and use lockout/tagout protocols when necessary. Collaborate with other trade, supervisors, team members and departments to complete projects on schedule. Train, mentor, and oversee apprentices as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal electrician apprenticeship program. Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of FL. Proven experience as a Journeyman in the field. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficient in using electrical tools, meters, and testing devices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments (confined spaces, heights, outdoors, and in various weather conditions).
