In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical infrastructure by adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the electrical trade. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults or issues. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local safety regulations. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings or machinery control systems. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation. Assist with low voltage wiring projects including security systems, data cabling, or communication networks as needed. Support renovation efforts by updating existing electrical systems or installing new components in commercial or industrial environments. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings; construction site experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) wiring standards. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing instruments like ohmmeters. Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety protocols to ensure compliant work practices. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation applications is a plus. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics effectively for troubleshooting purposes. Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or system replacements. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces safely while maintaining focus on quality standards.
