Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in residential environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to perform precise electrical work. Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage circuits following NEC standards. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, ensuring electrical components are integrated seamlessly into building frameworks. Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on existing electrical systems to enhance safety and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols on construction sites and ensure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations. Skills Extensive experience working as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of the NEC standards. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage wiring systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of high voltage systems and the ability to work safely around energized circuits. Experience in construction site environments with a focus on renovation projects. Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks or handyman duties related to electrical installations when needed.
