Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our established and growing team. The ideal candidate is reliable and dependable and will possess a strong safety focus, comprehensive electrical expertise, including industrial, commercial and residential electrical experience, and be proficient in reading schematics and blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong knowledge of NEC codes, low and high voltage systems, and be comfortable working on construction sites with a variety of power tools and hand tools. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and renovation settings Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately Preferred experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage, and high voltage systems according to NEC standards Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to ensure proper system functionality Perform wiring, conduit installation, grounding, and circuit testing in compliance with safety regulations Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of electrical installations Conduct inspections for safety hazards or code violations and rectify issues accordingly Troubleshoot electrical system issues efficiently and safely in the best interest of both customers and company Work independently or as part of a team Maintain a clean and safe job site Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and clean driving record Proven experience as a residential and / or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site work Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical code compliance (NEC) Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical installations and safety protocols Ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects involving renovation or new construction Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in electrical systems.
