Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and contribute to high-quality electrical solutions that meet industry standards. Responsibilities Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage circuits to ensure proper operation. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties as needed. Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations on construction sites to ensure safety compliance and quality standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety procedures followed throughout each project. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high voltage circuits. Familiarity with NEC standards, circuit testing tools like ohmmeters, and power tools for installation tasks. Ability to perform renovation work including framing carpentry and general handyman tasks on construction sites. Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
