Non-Exempt Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician / Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment within our print production facility. This role is primarily responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems on printing presses, bindery equipment, and other production machinery, while also performing general mechanical maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical experience, the ability to diagnose equipment issues quickly, and experience working in a manufacturing or print production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on printing presses, bindery equipment, and other production machinery. Install, maintain, and repair electrical components including motors, drives, relays, sensors, breakers, wiring, and control panels. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as needed. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility electrical projects. Ensure all electrical work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable codes/regulations. Maintain maintenance logs, repair documentation, and preventative maintenance schedules. Coordinate with production staff and management regarding equipment performance and repair priorities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support general facility maintenance needs as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school, vocational training, or electrician certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical and maintenance experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing or print production environment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, control panels, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams. Experience troubleshooting production equipment and machinery. Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems is a plus. Mechanical maintenance experience preferred. Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced production environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work around moving mechanical parts and industrial equipment. Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed to support production demands. Work Environment This position works in a manufacturing/print production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, ink, dust, and varying temperatures.
