  • Full-time Job Summary The Manufacturing Controls Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and control systems used in manufacturing operations.
This role focuses on PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production processes with minimal downtime.
Shift:
6AM-4PM Key Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and control systems Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial networks Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment Support production by responding to electrical and controls-related downtime Assist with commissioning of new equipment and process improvements Modify and update control programs as needed to improve efficiency and reliability Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures Collaborate with engineers, maintenance technicians, and production teams Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical degree or apprenticeship preferred Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial experience Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (480V, 240V, 120V) Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) Ability to troubleshoot control circuits, sensors, and automation equipment Proficiency using electrical testing tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.) Understanding of OSHA and
NFPA 70E
safety standards Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, or SCADA Experience with Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, or other industrial networks Ability to read and edit PLC ladder logic and function block diagrams
