The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within industrial and commercial environments. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety standards, ensuring the reliable operation of complex electrical equipment. The ideal applicant will bring extensive experience in industrial electrical systems, including low and high voltage applications, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematic reading. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from new installations to renovations on construction sites, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and safety. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks. Maintain and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using appropriate tools such as multimeters (Ohmmeters), power tools, and hand tools. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery processes. Conduct renovations on existing electrical systems during construction or upgrade projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur; document findings thoroughly. Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into broader project plans. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper handling of power tools and adherence to OSHA standards. Assist in reading schematics and technical manuals; interpret technical data accurately for effective troubleshooting. Support other handyman or frame carpentry tasks as needed during construction or renovation projects. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NEC regulations, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and safety standards. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation equipment. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments for troubleshooting. Familiarity with construction site procedures, renovation projects, and working within construction environments. Ability to interpret schematics accurately and apply this knowledge effectively in the field. Strong understanding of electrical theory combined with practical application skills. Experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical documentation is essential.
