Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret schematics and blueprints, and utilize a wide range of hand and power tools. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, ensuring all work adheres to NEC standards and safety protocols. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects and industrial applications. Conduct routine inspections of electrical components, diagnose issues using multimeters or ohmmeters, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with framing carpentry and other trades. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and schematic updates. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical projects. Extensive knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and construction site safety practices. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, PLC programming, and industrial electrician tasks. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing devices like ohmmeters. Strong background in construction site environments with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs. Familiarity with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or system modifications. Ability to read schematics accurately and implement wiring plans accordingly. Experience working on commercial or industrial sites is highly preferred; handyman or general construction experience is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail; effective communication skills for team collaboration. $33.07 - $39.83 per hour
