Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Master Electrician to lead our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, agricultural, and renovation projects. You will also be responsible for the overall growth and direction of the company. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and safety protocols. Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry, and general handyman tasks as needed. Conduct inspections on electrical components, including circuit breakers, wiring, outlets, switches, and control panels. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise installation and maintenance of electrical systems. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced electricians when required. Troubleshoot and maintain agricultural grain equipment upon request; including but not limited to grain bin heaters, grain dryers, VFDs and other electrical equipment for multiple applications. Qualifications Valid Master Electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities. Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of renovation projects. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Familiarity with NEC standards for electrical safety and wiring practices. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in industrial settings is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; testing instruments like ohmmeters. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems along with high voltage applications is essential. Ability to perform troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals efficiently. Strong construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and quality workmanship. Additional handyman skills or frame carpentry experience are considered a plus.
