Repairs and conducts maintenance of buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Facilities Manager in daily operations of repair and maintenance Promptly handles all maintenance problems within the department areas of responsibility. Ensure that premises and equipment are well maintained, clean and safe. Follows procedures as pertains to delegation of tasks, use of equipment, safety, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Ensures the efficient and prompt handling of all department work orders and requests. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety. Adheres to all safety requirements and company safety policies. Assists in training colleagues in proper safety techniques. Ensures all safety standards are addressed, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved. Advises management of repairs, replacements, and maintenance necessary in assigned areas. Responsible for the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Follows all safety standards and reports any safety hazards or corrects them immediately. Follows and understands National Fire Protection standards and SDS policy and procedures. Works within budgetary constraints to be cost effective and efficient. Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays to include after hours on call rotation. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. Works physically onsite and provides excellent guest service to both internal and external guests as required. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Trade school degree is highly preferred. 1 year related experience with general working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and other repair work required. Must be able to effectively use a computer as well as various software including Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Must be self-motivated, organized, and customer service oriented. Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary. Ability to read and interpret manuals, instructions, and schematics required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Must be able to maintain an appropriate Gaming License. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Occasionally required to push and pull up to 300 pound carts. Must be able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces. Must be able to work on ladder and lifts. Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. Uses hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Continuously required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, increasing to loud when on the casino floor. Will be exposed to changing elements include outdoor Summer and Winter conditions. This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
