Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in both commercial and industrial settings. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, working with power tools, and troubleshooting various electrical components. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical installations and repairs. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform electrical tasks safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot issues with low voltage systems, logic controllers, and other electrical components. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within specifications. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks. Skills Proficient in electrical work with experience as a commercial or industrial electrician. Strong understanding of low voltage systems and logic controllers. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade. Familiarity with testing equipment such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for safe installations and repairs. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
