Job Description
Position Summary This position is responsible for installs, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting. The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance on machinery, interprets schematics, and ensures all systems comply with safety codes and local regulations. It is a highly hands-on role requiring strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills that support company goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Mechanical/Electrical repair of equipment and machines. Repair or replace defective electrical components, wiring, and hardware Diagnose electrical malfunctions, short circuits, and faulty wiring using diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes Assemble and install new electrical wiring, conduits, and equipment Must have the ability to read electrical schematics and prints Conduct routine inspections on generators, motors, circuit breakers, and control panels to prevent future equipment failures Keep accurate logs of routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs Basic math skills and problem-solving mentality Required to drive forklift

EXPERIENCE
H.S Diploma/ GED 10 yrs + Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Experience with Welding 10+ Experience with electrical work(Industrial) 10+ yrs power tools experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret written instructions/procedures Ability to understand preventative maintenance schedules
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Intermediate shop math required
REASONING ABILITY
Apply rational understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation. Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently and or up to 20lbs of force constantly to move objects. Seeing, hearing, talking Reading, writing Reaching, stooping, kneeling Carry up to 50lbs Lifting up to 75lbs Standing for long periods of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 4pm-2am but may vary somewhat by plant. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice. Occasional travel may be required.
