Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Electrician to join our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across a variety of environments. You will be responsible for working on residential or commercial projects, providing top-notch electrical services to meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting problems, and performing repairs in accordance with local code requirements and safety standards. You will collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to ensure that all electrical installations are efficient, reliable, and up to code. Key Responsibilities Install and repair electrical conduit, wiring, fixtures, motors, and other electrical components Troubleshoot and inspect electrical equipment and components and complete any required maintenance or repairs. Install and service Generac generators Maintain compliance with all established electrical codes Complete work orders and record time and material used on each job Communicate professionally with homeowners and other contractors Respond to emergency service calls as directed Performs other related duties as assigned Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent 4+ years of proven electrical wiring experience Employee will need to supply and maintain their own hand tools Some overtime may be required including weekends Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Thorough knowledge of local regulations, guidelines, and safety procedures Able to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings Proficient in using test meters and other diagnostic equipment Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal communication skills Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding Physically capable of bending conduit and pulling wires through conduit Must be able to lift 50 pounds
