General Scope of Responsibility:
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is electrically and mechanically in standard working condition and safe to operate.
Specific Duties:
Follow all plant work and safety rules and adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems. Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State electrical codes. Ensure all plant equipment is operational in a safe manner. Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects and tasks and repair equipment, as necessary. Troubleshoot all machine electrical issues and diagnose problems using schematics and blueprints. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures. Document all maintenance activities and keep accurate records. Understand the purposes and functions of all machines in the plant. Properly housekeep the work area. Responsible for the proper and safe handling, labeling, and storage of all hazardous materials and waste. Answer and respond to all necessary repair call-ins. Understand the workings and operation of all equipment computers. Work assigned work schedule and overtime as needed. Follow all ISO/Quality Program Procedures/Instructions as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Note:

Great Pay $25.00 to $33.00 (Depending on Experience and Advancement) Paid weekly Overtime is built into the schedule (40 hrs. straight time and 8 hrs. overtime one week, and 24 hrs. straight time and 12 hrs. overtime the next week) Potential pay increases every 90 days with good performance evaluations. Night shift premium of $1.50/hour Perfect attendance bonus of up to $200/quarter (up to $800 extra dollars per year just for coming to work!) $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days Quarterly and annual bonus potential Rotating 2/2/3 schedule where you only work 15 days per month. 12-hour shifts
  • 2 on/2 off, 2 on/3 off, 2 on/2 off, 3 on/2 off Three-day weekend off every other week Days off during the week

QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Work Experience, etc.) Minimum (Must have to be considered for the position): Pass all entry level exams. Pass electrician exams. Three (3) years' experience as electrician. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and code Proficient in low voltage and high voltage electrical work Must be able to differentiate colors in the color spectrum. Operate all levers and controls, as necessary. Work in awkward positions, as necessary. Desired (Will provide job holder with added skill(s) to perform duties): High school diploma or equivalent Prefer 5-7 years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role. DC drive experience preferred. PLC program knowledge preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Able to concentrate continuously on a task. Basic understanding of computer equipment preferred. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) Excellent teamwork and communication skills Must be reliable and committed to being at work.
