Job Description

Maintenance Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems ranging from 480V to 120V. You will diagnose and repair motors, motor starters, VFDs, MCCs, transformers, breakers, and control panels, ensuring the proper Lockout/Tagout procedures and verification of zero-energy states. You will also read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 480V, 277V, 240V, and 120V electrical systems. Diagnose and repair motors, motor starters, VFDs, MCCs, transformers, breakers, and control panels. Perform proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and verify zero-energy states. Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment including I/O, power supplies, and communication issues. Identify faults in control logic and collaborate with engineering/controls teams. Essential Skills Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification. 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in chemical or process manufacturing. Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and control schematics. Skilled with testing equipment such as multimeter, megger, and clamp meter. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC-5, SLC 500) or Siemens preferred. High school diploma or GED; technical/trade schooling is a plus. Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance of PLCs. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a challenging environment that requires PPE including hazmat suits, respirators, safety boots, and glasses. Openings are available for 2nd and 3rd shifts in a facility that can be dirty and hot. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Brazil, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
