Journeyman Electrician

Hourly Wage Rate:

$45.77 Basic requirements: High School Graduate or GED equivalency Minimum 2 years' and 4000 hours of on the job electrical maintenance training Must take and receive overall qualification report results on a Ramsay Journeyman Electrician exam. Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive and computerized electrical maintenance management systems Inspection and identification and knowledge of all electrical distribution systems (12 to 5K volts) Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems including electric motors, electric controls, and scales. Test & monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Monitors work done for adherence to the NEC requirements. Maintains appropriate service and repair records, (records necessary for MSHA). Follows blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes. Analyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
