This is not your typical residential or commercial "wire-and-pipe" job. You will be responsible for the specialized electrical integration of high-end mobile seating systems and hydraulic stage platforms. If you enjoy working in a shop environment where you can see a massive, complex machine come to life from the ground up, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities System Integration:
Install and wire electrical control systems, hydraulic power units (HPUs), and motorized deployment systems for mobile bleachers and stages.
Panel Building:
Assemble and wire custom industrial control panels based on engineered schematics.
AC/DC Circuitry:
Handle a mix of high-voltage AC (for shore power and motors) and low-voltage DC (for sensors, limit switches, and remote controls).
Component Mounting:
Securely install lighting fixtures, power outlets, junction boxes, and cable management systems designed to withstand the vibrations of highway travel.
Testing & Troubleshooting:
Perform rigorous "live" testing of mobile units to ensure all safety interlocks and deployment sequences function perfectly before shipping.
Quality Control:
Ensure all work meets NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and specific DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements for mobile equipment.
Skills & Qualifications Experience:
3+ years in industrial electrical work, panel building, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
Schematic Literacy:
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Technical Literacy:
Skilled in conduit bending, soldering, and using various diagnostic tools (multimeters, etc.). Attention to
Detail:
Mobile units move and vibrate; your wiring must be neat, labeled, and "bulletproof."
Safety Mindset:
Strong understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and shop safety protocols.
Work Environment Type:
Indoor fabrication/manufacturing facility.
Physicality:
Requires standing, crawling into tight chassis spaces, and occasionally working at heights (when stages are deployed).
Collaboration:
You will work closely with welders, fabricators, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Note:
Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming or hydraulic systems is a massive plus but not strictly required.
