Job Description

Availability 8am-5pm required Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Low Voltage Apprentice/Helper and kickstart your career in the electrical and low voltage systems industry! This entry-level role offers hands-on experience supporting skilled technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems such as security, networking, and communication infrastructure. You will learn essential skills in electrical work, troubleshooting, and equipment handling while contributing to vital projects that keep buildings connected and secure. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop technical expertise in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties Assist experienced technicians with installing and wiring low voltage systems including security cameras, access control, and data cabling Use hand tools and basic electrical equipment to support system setup and troubleshooting Help interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to understand system layouts and wiring configurations Conduct routine maintenance on low voltage equipment to ensure optimal performance Support the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and verify circuit integrity Aid in diagnosing issues with equipment repair or system failures under supervision Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Requirements Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical concepts; eagerness to learn new skills on the job Prior experience or familiarity with service technician tasks is a plus but not required Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and understand electrical wiring principles Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in low voltage systems and equipment repair Experience with computer hardware or networking concepts is beneficial Willingness to learn how to use testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately This role offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring technicians to gain practical experience in field service environments while building a foundation for a rewarding career in low voltage systems.
