Electrician Maintenance

This position has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing environment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium to high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. This work will be of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of a variety of mechanical maintenance actions. Works from verbal and written instructions, blueprints, and sketches to complete work orders and PMs. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs. Applies skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to adjust, repair, dissemble, replace, and reassemble plant equipment. Performs preventive maintenance routines and inspections. Utilizes hand tools and common powered hand and shop tools. Approaches job duties with a sense of accuracy and urgency. Other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements Ability to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing and extending arms Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift Ability to work around animal blood and/or body parts Ability to work in cold areas (Approx. 20-40F) Ability to work in warm areas(over 100F) Ability to work in a wet/humid environment Ability to work with a knife (if trained) Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes Can understand and follow oral and written instructions Can lift heavy objects, which can weigh up to 60lbs. Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals Ability to work with strong odors/smells Can work in a noisy environment Ability to climb, move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms Can bend, stoop, and twist repetitively throughout your entire shift Can walk long distances Repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs.
