Job Description
Master Journeyman Electrician Reputable, leading full service residential and commercial electrical company, in business for over 40 years, specializing in new construction, multi-family apartment complexes, retirement communities, and single-family new home construction, is seeking an experienced electrician. Reporting to the owner, the electrician will be responsible for inspection, testing, installation, repair and modification of electrical components and systems, while following all safety protocol, regulations, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain safe and efficient, code-compliant electrical systems for our customers. Install or upgrade electrical panels, rewire AFCI/GFCI
outlets, surge protection, and indoor/outdoor lighting. Repair/maintain electrical power systems across multiple units, from panel failures to circuit overloads, often under tight schedules. Conduct regular inspections for safety and efficiency and detect faults before any outages occur. Respond quickly to outages or emergencies, sometimes with rapid power restoration in occupied buildings. Install and maintain fire alarm systems, access control, surveillance cameras, distributed antenna systems, and solar solutions. Interpret architectural and electrical plans to determine panel locations, circuit layouts, and outlet placements. Ensure all work meets local building codes, utility requirements, and safety standards. Liaise with utility companies, developers, property managers, and other vendors, to ensure proper power distribution and provide exceptional service. Essential Qualifications Proof of valid certification and license to practice. Must possess three (3) - five (5) years of experience as an electrician with a proven track record of success. Experience installing electrical components, diagnosing faults, and conducting necessary repairs. Ability to provide accurate measurements, connections, and labeling to avoid rework. Experience using electric tools/hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) as well as the ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
