Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of NEC standards, schematics, and blueprint reading. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. The Electrician will work on diverse sites, including construction sites and renovation projects, utilizing a wide range of hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and construction environments. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and NEC standards to ensure compliance. Use hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing equipment like ohmmeters to diagnose issues. Perform wiring for new installations or renovations in accordance with safety codes and specifications. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures. Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects involving electrical components. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, including proper handling of high voltage systems. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services during renovation projects. Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference. Experience Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems. Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new installations. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams is essential. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems preferred. Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical wiring and safety regulations. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively. Prior handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus but not required. Strong safety awareness with the ability to work in various environments including construction sites.
