Job Summary:
Job Description As a Facilities Operations Technician II - Electrical , you will support and independently contribute to the reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance of mission-critical electrical systems within hyperscale data centers. In this role, you will apply developing technical depth to maintain system reliability, perform troubleshooting, and support upgrades and operational improvements that protect uptime. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Support and maintain electrical standards for high-availability infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, grounding, and distribution systems. Perform troubleshooting activities, power quality observations, incident investigations, and root cause analysis for equipment or system issues. Provide operational support for upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, including participation in design reviews, commissioning activities, and operational acceptance processes. Partner with site operations teams to improve maintainability, safe execution of work, and documentation quality, including procedures, one-lines, settings, and test plans. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as utilities and vendors, as needed, and apply working knowledge of applicable codes and standards including NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, and local requirements. Review technical documentation and support consistent execution of maintenance and operational tasks across sites. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience with mission-critical, industrial, utility, or large commercial electrical systems. Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and equipment documentation. Working knowledge of power distribution, electrical safety, and critical infrastructure operations. Technical certification, trade experience, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent practical experience preferred. Skills and Competencies Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability. Solid ownership and accountability in day-to-day operations. Good operational judgment in time-sensitive situations. Clear communication of technical issues, findings, and risks. Preferred Skills / Certifications Experience with switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, ATS/STS, grounding, and electrical distribution equipment. Familiarity with EPMS, BMS, SCADA, or related building and power monitoring systems. Experience supporting commissioning, vendor activities, maintenance planning, or acceptance testing. Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical trade qualification where applicable. OSHA 30 preferred.

Physical Demands / Work Environment This is a mission-critical role supporting 24/7 operations where 100% uptime is essential; as such, regular attendance and flexibility for shift-based schedules are required. To perform these duties, you must be able to frequently walk, bend, kneel, crouch, push/pull objects, and climb stairs.
