Job Description

Job Title:
Electrical Foreman Job Description This role oversees all phases of small to mid-sized electrical construction projects, from initial planning through completion. The Electrical Foreman ensures that work meets quality standards, stays within budget, and complies with all safety requirements, while leading field teams on retail, renovation, restaurant, and office projects. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of electrical construction projects from initial planning to final completion. Lead small projects such as retail spaces, renovations, restaurants, and office build-outs from start to finish. Coordinate and direct field crews to complete electrical installations safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with applicable codes and regulations. Monitor material usage and workmanship to maintain high quality and minimize waste. Assist in planning and scheduling project activities to keep projects on time and within budget. Ensure all safety requirements and company safety policies are followed at all times on the job site. Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Perform conduit bending, wiring, and other journeyman-level electrical tasks as needed. Communicate project status, issues, and needs clearly to supervisors and team members. Use company-provided technology such as a tablet or phone to document work, access plans, and communicate with the team. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced electricians and helpers. Essential Skills Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an electrical foreman or in a similar supervisory field role. Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician. Strong journeyman-level electrical skills, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints and construction drawings. Proficiency with conduit bending and installation. Experience leading small projects such as retail, renovations, restaurants, and offices from start to finish. Proven ability to manage quality of work and materials while maintaining project budgets. Strong understanding of job site safety requirements and safe work practices. Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey information and instructions clearly. Valid driver's license and ability to meet motor vehicle record (MVR) requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience supervising small crews on commercial or light industrial electrical projects. Ability to provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior team members. Comfort using mobile technology such as tablets and smartphones for project documentation and communication. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing job site conditions. Attention to detail in both workmanship and documentation. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role primarily supports small projects such as retail spaces, renovations, restaurants, and office environments from start to finish. The position is field-based and physically active, requiring regular bending, stretching, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with the body, arms, and legs. You will frequently walk, stand, and sit throughout the workday and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. The job requires the ability to listen carefully and understand spoken instructions, as well as communicate clearly in both verbal and written form. Color vision is important to distinguish differences between colors, shades, and brightness, and vision requirements include near and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environments may include high, narrow, and tight spaces, and you will be exposed to all weather conditions while working outdoors or transitioning between indoor and outdoor areas.
