Together, were lighting the way to a brighter tomorrow. As a Lead Electrician on the Residential team, you will play a critical role in our solar operations. Your responsibilities will include installing and commissioning new solar installations, electrical service equipment, wiring, battery storage systems, and EV chargers, troubleshooting system issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and maintaining high-quality workmanship. This versatile role is instrumental in enhancing processes and supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our residential solar installations.

In this role, you'll get to:

Lead the installation of electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for residential solar PV systemsTrain and mentor junior team members on proper electrical installation techniques and safety practicesInstall electrical components including solar modules, inverters, main service panels, load centers, disconnects, junction boxes, combiner boxes, and monitoring equipmentWire and integrate battery storage systems, electrical upgrades, and EV chargers, ensuring full compliance with system requirements and interconnection standardsInterpret and implement electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and site plans to guide precise system installationsConduct electrical testing including voltage verification, continuity checks, system performance analysis, and basic commissioningEnsure all electrical work meets company specifications, quality standards, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and local jurisdictional requirementsManage on-site material organization, equipment readiness, and ensure job sites are clean, safe, and properly staged for workMaintain detailed records of installation progress, including photos, reports, and system documentationCommunicate effectively with project managers, operations teams, and homeowners regarding project status and expectationsSupervise installation teams onsite, provide mentorship to junior electricians and helpers, and maintain a culture of safety, efficiency, and professionalismUphold all company policies and lead by example in following safety regulations and protocolsKeep company vehicles well-maintained, fully stocked, and properly servicedFollow all safety regulations and policies to ensure a safe working environmentAdhere to all of Luminas company policies and ensure that all safety protocols are followedPerform other related duties as assigned to support overall project successOn your first day, we'll expect you to have: Must have at least 3 years of recent residential electrical experience; solar experience is a plusMust possess an active Masters or Journeyman license Experience performing residential electrical upgrades, including heavy-ups, main panel replacements, and load center modifications Hands-on experience with AC and DC electrical systems, including troubleshooting, wiring, and assemblyExtensive working knowledge of the NEC for safe and code-compliant electrical workAbility to troubleshoot electrical installation projects Ability to read and interpret Electrical line drawingsAbility to read building plans and equipment manualsProficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materialsCapability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periodsExperience and comfort working in attics and confined spacesAbility to lift 75 pounds repeatedlyMust be proficient in the use of smartphones and tablets, utilizing them effectively for communication, accessing job-related apps and software, documenting work progress, and staying connected with team members and supervisors as requiredProven track record of reliable attendanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every jobPosition requires passing a drug screening and background checkA valid drivers license is required for all positions at

A company vehicle is provided for work-related use during scheduled hours; however, a take-home vehicle is not included with this role.
