In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new constructions to renovations, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to make a tangible impact. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to perform precise electrical work. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure safety and compliance. Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations during new builds or renovation projects. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools; implement effective solutions efficiently. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for compliance purposes. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with NEC regulations, high voltage systems, and safety protocols for construction or renovation projects. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, frame carpentry equipment, and handyman tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of circuit troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience working with schematics is essential. Strong understanding of electrical code requirements for both new installations and renovations across commercial or industrial sites. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications in high voltage or industrial electrical work are a plus.
