Job Description
Solar Journeyman Electrician - Maine We're hiring a Solar Journeyman Electrician for a large‑scale solar project in Maine. This role focuses on installing, testing, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (PV) systems in an outdoor construction environment while ensuring all work is safe, efficient, and code‑compliant.
Responsibilities:
Install and wire solar panels, inverters, racking, and PV system components Bend and land conduit; perform underground electrical work and cable pulls Complete electrical terminations, mod‑to‑mod connections, and string harness installs Read blueprints and schematics; perform VOC and system testing Troubleshoot issues and support daily production goals Follow all safety procedures and electrical codesRequirements:
Active Maine Journeyman Electrician license 6+ years of electrical experience (solar preferred) Experience with conduit, underground work, terminations, and electrical testing Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to work 50-60 hours/week with overtimeProject Details:
Long‑term solar construction project (4-6 months) First shift: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday (Saturday OT as needed) Fast‑paced, outdoor job site (Jobsite is in Eastbrook, ME) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bangor, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
