Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret schematics and blueprints, and utilize a wide range of hand and power tools. Duties Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, panels, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial settings Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and specialized power tools to complete installations Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults efficiently Work safely on construction sites by adhering to OSHA standards and local electrical codes, including high voltage and low voltage systems Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes in industrial environments Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure while maintaining safety standards Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors to ensure seamless project execution Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical systems to prevent future failures or hazards Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records Experience Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyman license or equivalent certification Extensive industrial electrician experience with knowledge of automation controls and PLC programming Commercial electrician background with familiarity in large-scale wiring projects and building systems Hands-on experience working on construction sites across various phases of development Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively Knowledge of NEC standards, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and safety protocols Experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or rewiring efforts Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Handyman experience or related skills such as frame carpentry can be advantageous for versatile project support Join us as a Journeyman Electrician and bring your expertise to exciting projects that challenge your skills while ensuring safety and quality at every turn.
