Electrician III

Welcome! ‎ The Electrician III applies general knowledge to assist with moderately complex projects and assignments within the Electrician family. Works under general supervision. ‎ Calibrate and maintain test gear—IR cameras, meggers, primary injectors, PQ loggers. Execute advanced diagnostics on power quality, harmonics, and transient events. Perform MV/LV cable testing (VLF/hipot) and interpret results. Lead MCC bucket refurbishments—contact kits, overloads, interlocks. Rebuild and align disconnects and bus joints; verify contact resistance. Install surge protection, filters, and PF capacitors and validate effect. Document advanced test reports and recommend corrective actions. Support relay testing (secondary) and record setting confirmations. Mentor technicians and junior electricians on diagnostic methods. Own the site PQ monitoring plan, deploy loggers and analyze trends. ‎
