1st Shift Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman Electrician All Shifts Available Competitive Pay and Benefits Opportunity for Overtime Job Description Seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Journeyman Electrician to add to our growing team. This role consists of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment. A successful candidate will possess a sense of urgency along with a strong focus on safety. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, control panels, lighting, power distribution, and machinery wiring. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices and methods. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and inspections. Assist with new equipment installation and facility upgrades. Identify and recommend improvements for electrical systems and processes. Work closely with maintenance and production teams to support plant operations. Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements. Respond to emergency electrical issues as needed, including potential overtime. Essential Skills & Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician Card (Required). Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and organizational skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Battle Creek, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
