This role focuses primarily on residential and commercial service work, troubleshooting, service upgrades, panel replacements, generators, EV chargers, and insurance-related electrical repairs throughout the Detroit metro area. The ideal candidate is experienced in independently diagnosing electrical issues, communicating professionally with customers, and completing clean, code-compliant work in occupied homes and businesses. We are looking for someone dependable, safety-focused, and capable of handling service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Duties Troubleshoot and repair residential and commercial electrical systems. Perform service upgrades, panel replacements, meter replacements, grounding and bonding upgrades, and dedicated circuit installations. Install and troubleshoot generators, EV chargers, lighting systems, outlets, switches, GFCIs, and other electrical equipment. Diagnose outages, flickering lights, open neutrals, damaged wiring, and other service-related electrical issues. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams as needed. Work with low-voltage and high-voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards and local inspection requirements. Use testing equipment including multimeters, ohmmeters, and circuit tracing equipment to diagnose electrical problems. Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and team members. Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready work areas. Complete documentation, job notes, and photos for service calls and projects. Assist with commercial and light industrial electrical work when needed. Qualifications Current Michigan Journeyman Electrician License required. Strong troubleshooting and service experience preferred. Experience with residential service work, panel upgrades, generators, EV chargers, and commercial electrical systems. Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical code compliance. Ability to work independently and manage service calls professionally. Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to safely work in attics, crawl spaces, ladders, and active job sites.

Pay:

$30.00 - $55.00 per hour based on experience and capabilities.
