Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical installations meet all safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage wiring in commercial and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to guide installation and maintenance work. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues accurately. Work safely on construction sites by adhering to OSHA standards and NEC regulations while managing electrical components. Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation devices to support industrial operations. Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical systems while minimizing disruption. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams when necessary for integrated project completion. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and parts used for compliance and future reference. Experience Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience working with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and industrial control panels including PLCs. Familiarity with NEC standards and safety protocols related to electrical work on construction sites. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for troubleshooting electrical issues. Prior experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable. Knowledge of schematics interpretation and framing carpentry is a plus; handyman experience is advantageous but not required.
