Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and systems in commercial and industrial settings Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to perform precise electrical work Work with low voltage and high voltage systems safely in accordance with NEC standards and safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems during renovation projects or new construction to identify issues before they escalate Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors on construction sites to coordinate project timelines and requirements Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records Qualifications Valid journeyman electrician license or certification demonstrating completion of an approved apprenticeship program Proven industrial electrician experience along with commercial electrician background preferred Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical code regulations (NEC) Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects or new builds Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools for installation tasks Familiarity with frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in complex electrical systems Join us to be part of a team dedicated to excellence in electrical craftsmanship!
