Job Description

Overview Kolstad is looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to support the wiring, installation, and testing of electrical systems and accessories for commercial truck bodies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced production environment. The Electrical Technician will play a key role in ensuring all electrical components are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components on commercial truck bodies and specialized equipment. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations accurately. Mount and connect lighting systems, liftgates, hydraulic controls, battery systems, switches, and auxiliary electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic and testing equipment. Route, secure, and protect wiring harnesses and electrical connections according to company and industry standards. Perform electrical testing and quality inspections to ensure proper operation and safety compliance. Assist with truck equipment installations, shop operations, and related duties as required.
Requirements:
Minimum two years (2) experience in electrical installation, automotive electrical systems, manufacturing, or related mechanical work. Knowledge of 12V and 24V electrical systems considered an asset. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience using electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to perform physically demanding shop tasks. This position is eligible for a $500 Signing Bonus. Details will be outlined upon hire.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
