Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handy Man to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be the go-to professional for a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks across residential and commercial properties. Your energetic approach and technical expertise will ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming. Responsibilities Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and drywall work to uphold property standards. Conduct electrical repairs utilizing your electrical experience and understanding of schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical or electrical problems. Maintain facilities by inspecting systems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Supervise or assist with residential painting projects, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately execute repairs or installations. Lead small teams or supervise subcontractors during specific projects or ongoing maintenance tasks while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical work, welding, and plumbing. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing or building automation systems. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with CMMS software for work order management and documentation. Strong electrical skills including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and familiarity with electrical codes. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks effectively with team members and clients. Supervising experience in maintenance or construction projects is preferred. Ability to perform residential painting with attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
