Commitment to Diversity & Military Veterans Battle-Tested Leadership Experience 100% Data Center Focused Owner-Operator Mindset \n Responsibilities The Journeyman should be a outside linemen, inside wiremen, installer technician, electrician, or Master Electrician who has been engaged at the trade for at least five (5) years. Lighting PMs Battery PMs Rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning Security gate repair Inverter testing on battery backups for lights Team scheduling and material requisition Receptacle panel installations and retrofits MTS board validations, actuation, and installation Electrical Panel Schedules Spill Prevention kits for Generators, Substations, etc. Heat trace annual testing and installation/retrofits Electrical project support Willpower issues (Nonscheduled, high priority work); Usually DC floor related issues related to cooling)
EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
At least five (5) years of experience in the trade NFPA-70e Formal training in approved vocational schools in the fundamentals of the trade
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong verbal and written communication skills required for working effectively with Account Director, team members, vendors, and customers on daily data center operations Exceptional written technical proficiency to support the creation and revision of process documentation (MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs) and other relevant business documents and correspondences Above average problem-solving and analytical skills for evaluating a situation, identifying solutions, and working with leadership and teammates to resolve Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fluid environment Embraces a team-based mentality by building positive morale and team spirit, supporting teammates efforts to succeed, and recognizing teammates accomplishments Able to function effectively and maintain focus in high-pressure situations Has a "can-do" customer service attitude who is conscientious and takes personal pride in their work Has high degree of attention to detail and completes tasks on time Able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and volunteer readily when asked Able to handle changing needs and priorities accurately and professionally Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical manuals, drawings, and sketches Able to work proficiently and safely with hand tools and power tools Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
