In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Work on low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering strictly to safety standards outlined by the NEC (National Electrical Code). Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects or new builds to ensure electrical components are integrated seamlessly into the overall project. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections. Follow all safety protocols related to construction site experience, including working with schematics and frame carpentry when necessary. Experience Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of industrial control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Commercial electrician experience demonstrating proficiency in installing and maintaining electrical systems in business environments. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of renovation projects and building codes. Familiarity with NEC regulations governing electrical installations for both low voltage and high voltage systems. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools for installation tasks. Experience working with low voltage wiring systems and troubleshooting using specialized testing equipment like ohmmeters. Handyman skills including frame carpentry or general construction knowledge are a plus for versatile project support.
