Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machines, saws, edge banders, presses, and other woodworking equipment. Maintain and repair compressors, dust collectors, and shop tools. Coordinate with vendors for specialized machine repairs when needed. Building Facility Maintenance Perform general building repairs and upkeep. Maintain electrical systems, including replacing fluorescent lamps, wiring, and electrical equipment troubleshooting. Conduct alarm and sensor maintenance, including security systems. Inspect and maintain fire safety systems (fire doors, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations). Oversee HVAC maintenance (e.g., replacing filters) and basic plumbing (water supply and drainage). Handle pest and vermin control, coordinate with pest control vendors. Perform minor landscaping and entrance plant upkeep. Maintain cleanliness and safety of building interiors and exteriors (e.g., remove spider webs in high places). Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with fire, safety, and building regulations. Keep maintenance logs and inspection records up to date. Emergency Response Respond quickly to power outages, water leaks, equipment breakdowns, and other urgent facility issues. Other Responsibilities Purchase repair and maintenance supplies as needed. Communicate with outside contractors for major repairs, inspections, or facility services. Support production teams with maintenance-related issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar or related role, particularly involving maintenance and repair of manufacturing machinery (CNC machine) Knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical repair and maintenance Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift. High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of Electrician License a plus.
