Job Description

Must Have Qualifications:
Minimum 4 Yrs. experience in the commercial, industrial or marine electrical field High School Diploma or Equivalent Read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and maintenance, with the ability to read schematics and work with various tools and equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters for installation and repairs. Perform heavy lifting as necessary during installation or maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople for rigging and fabrication tasks as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with services rendered. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Assist in vehicle maintenance to ensure all service vehicles are operational and ready for use. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician in a shipyard setting is required. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring techniques, and safety protocols. Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including assembly, welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques. Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively. Experience in customer service roles is highly desirable; strong communication skills are essential. Military experience is advantageous but not required; candidates with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Must be able to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
