Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Hydroelectric Plant (HEP) Electrical Supervisor and the guidance of Hydroelectric Plant Electrician II, the incumbent safely performs electrical installations, maintenance, repair, modifications, and reconditioning of all electrical equipment and apparatus of a large hydroelectric installation in hydroelectric generating and/or pumping plants, aqueduct facilities, and other related project facilities. May do general switching at remote unattended stations for the purpose of performing general maintenance. Troubleshoots malfunctions of electrical systems and determines corrective actions to be taken. Work is onsite to support the State Water Project. Must be available for off-peak operations, maintenance, and emergency repairs which may require driving a vehicle on public roads throughout the field division. Provide training and oversight of apprentices in safe work practices and practical hands-on experience. You will find additional information about the job in the .
