Commercial Electrician

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team at a leading manufacturer of transformer bushings. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility and medium/high-voltage equipment. The ideal candidate will perform electrical work across the plant, including facilities maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems supporting manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform all electrical work for medium and high-voltage equipment within the facility.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support production needs.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.

• Highly skilled electrician - years of experience not important
• Comfortable with computer skills - typically excel
• Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical work, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of medium/high-voltage systems and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• NEC compliant
• Level 2 Electrician certification.
• Hold a NASCLA Accredited Electrical Examination certification or a valid North Carolina Electrical Contractor License.
• Experience using Voltage meter or O-scope (oscilloscope)
• Experience conducting Hi-pot testing
• Familiarity with transformer components and power distribution systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
