In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems on locomotives, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. If you have a passion for trains and a knack for troubleshooting electrical issues, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and components on locomotives. Diagnose electrical malfunctions and implement effective solutions. Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on electrical systems. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure optimal locomotive performance. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Stay updated on industry standards and safety regulations. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in the railway industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
