JOB•6079 Electronics Technician•Day Shift Rotation Mount Airy, NC | Full-Time Overview We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our maintenance team on a 12-hour day-shift rotating schedule (2-2-3). In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems used in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, industrial controls, and preventive maintenance practices. Key Responsibilities Electrical & Electronic Maintenance Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical and electronic equipment. Support and maintain PLC systems, AC/DC drives, motors, relays, contactors, starters, and control circuits. Perform electrical testing and identify root causes of equipment failures. Create, update, and maintain electrical drawings and schematics. Solder electrical and electronic components as needed. Assist with equipment upgrades and recommend improvements to increase reliability and performance. Mechanical Maintenance Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, cooling, gearbox, pump, and valve systems. Replace bearings, belts, pulleys, and other wear components. Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance on production equipment. Conduct equipment inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation. Documentation & Safety Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and work orders using a CMMS system. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and PPE requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and special maintenance projects. Qualifications Technical training in electronics, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related skilled trade. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with PLC programming, AC/DC drives, and industrial electrical systems. 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings. Experience with CMMS software is a plus.
