Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery, control systems, and electrical infrastructure across various manufacturing or processing facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical projects, contribute to safety standards, and enhance operational productivity through your technical proficiency and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage equipment in industrial settings. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical tasks. Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize automation processes. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety regulations during all work activities. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects or new installations, including framing carpentry and schematic interpretation. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical infrastructure to prevent downtime and improve system reliability. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting. Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable, with familiarity working on construction sites or renovation projects. Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems. Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage wiring, along with knowledge of NEC standards governing electrical safety. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment such as multimeters or circuit testers. Experience working on construction sites or industrial facilities involving renovation or new installations. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and maintenance is a plus. Ability to interpret schematics accurately and work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required. Handyman skills including frame carpentry or general construction knowledge are advantageous for versatile project support.
